How is your municipality doing?

Unlike many model providers that simply keep extending established methods, we are developing new indicators from empirical research approaches that assess a municipality's location security in the age of AI using objective criteria. Æstimia Oeconomia is being built as an EU-wide data foundation for strategic location and investment decisions — at municipal level and fully documented instead of roughly estimated.

Indicators

What Oeconomia makes measurable

OEC-01

Population & demographics

Population development, age structure, migration balances and household sizes as a time series per municipality.

OEC-02

Employment & income

Payroll employment, unemployment rate, commuter balances and income levels.

OEC-03

Economic structure

Sector mix, company sizes and concentration measures — how broad or dependent the local economy is.

OEC-04

Municipal fiscal strength

Tax capacity, trade and property tax rates, and the municipality's room for investment.

OEC-05

Housing market context

Building permits, completions, vacancy signals and housing demand relative to stock.

OEC-06

Infrastructure & accessibility

Transport links, supply, education and healthcare provision as the basis of a location.

Methodology

Trend, strength, outlook

Every municipality is described on three levels — turning numbers into a reasoned location judgement.

  1. 01

    Trend

Direction and pace of development over several years — including how stable that path is.

  2. 02

    Strength

Structural position relative to district, state and national level — normalised and therefore comparable.

  3. 03

    Outlook

Forward-looking classification from demographic, employment and investment signals — with a focus on location security in the age of AI, as a range, not a forecast figure.

  4. 04

    Evidence chain

Source, reference date and aggregation level for every indicator. Data gaps are named, never papered over.

What Oeconomia deliberately does not do

No property valuation

Oeconomia assesses the location, not the property. The value conclusion remains your professional work.

No point forecast

We give ranges and signals, not falsely precise future numbers.

No personal data

Aggregated area statistics only — no personal data.
